Music Teacher - Extended Assignment Substitute	Anticipated Vacancy Music Teacher - Extended Assignment Substitute Shatekon Elementary Music Teacher Extended Assignment Substitute Applications are now being accepted for an Extended Assignment Substitute position in Music. The District is seeking culturally proficient individuals who actively foster an engaging environment where students can develop confidence in their own success consistent with the Shenendehowa Profiles. Compensation $275/day (certified) Required Certification/Qualifications Valid New York State certification in Music Education (K-12). Strong pedagogical skills in general music. Strong classroom management and communication skills, with the ability to engage early learners. Proficiency in integrating technology into music instruction. Ability to play piano and other musical instruments is preferred. Compensation & Benefits Step 1 - $56,758/yr (min) pro-rated STA Collective Bargaining Agreement Certifications/Qualifications NYS Special Education Certification Connections Program: This program is for students with developmental disabilities who require a small class setting for a significant portion of the school day due to the need for modifications to support academic, cognitive, and social difficulties. The program provides direct social skill instruction, intensive language instruction, and academic instruction for a portion of the school day. Students who are enrolled in this program will participate in regular assessments with the goal of earning a high school diploma. Opportunities for earning a Career Development and Occupational Studies (CDOS) certificate are available in high school.
