Shenendehowa Central School District has an anticipated vacancy and is now accepting applications.  The District is seeking culturally proficient individuals who actively foster an engaging environment where students can develop confidence in their own success consistent with the Shenendehowa Profiles.

 

Job Responsibilities

The position provides high-level clerical functions and administrative support for the building principal and main office, responsibilities may include:

  • Maintaining positive communications (verbal and written) with a variety of stakeholder groups including students, parents, colleagues and administration;
  • Working collaboratively in an efficient, productive, and positive manner;
  • Managing time to accurately complete a variety of tasks and projects with varying deadlines in a fast-paced office environment;
  • Preparing, compiling, reporting, and/or coordinating various routine tasks and projects in accordance with established policies and procedures. Routine tasks include but are not limited to correspondence, timesheets, requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, and reports.
  • Maintaining various types of records in multiple office systems with accuracy and completeness;
  • Providing support to building/department staff and processing requests as needed; and additional responsibilities as required.

 

Compensation & Benefits

Step 1 ($23.29/hr) - Step 7 ($30.13/hr)

Certifications/Qualifications

Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma (GED) and 4 years office experience with aptitude for learning new technology.  Ability to embrace change, establish and maintain good working relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and administration. Exhibits good judgment, mental alertness, tact and courtesy.  Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite required.  Experience with time and attendance, Wincap software and Student Information Systems, preferred.  Physical condition commensurate with the responsibilities of the position.

Job Responsibilities

The position provides clerical support to ensure accurate maintenance of all student attendance records, such responsibilities include:

  • Notifying parents when students are not in attendance;
  • Working with faculty and staff on all student attendance issues;
  • Maintaining daily announcements and attendance bulletin on the webpage and student information system (SIS);
  • Providing clerical support for the nurse as needed;
  • Assisting with supervision tasks pertaining to the nurse’s/attendance office;
  • Communicating with staff, students, and parents in a responsible, respectful, and timely manner;
  • Preparing correspondence and announcements; and additional responsibilities as required.

 

Compensation & Benefits

Step 1 ($20.12/hr) - Step 7 ($26.64/hr)
