Job Responsibilities

The position provides clerical support to ensure accurate maintenance of all student attendance records, such responsibilities include:

  • Notifying parents when students are not in attendance;
  • Working with faculty and staff on all student attendance issues;
  • Maintaining daily announcements and attendance bulletin on the webpage and student information system (SIS);
  • Providing clerical support for the nurse as needed;
  • Assisting with supervision tasks pertaining to the nurse’s/attendance office;
  • Communicating with staff, students, and parents in a responsible, respectful, and timely manner;
  • Preparing correspondence and announcements; and additional responsibilities as required.

 

Compensation & Benefits

Step 1 ($18.83/hr) - Step 7 ($24.93/hr)

Certifications/Qualifications

Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma (GED) and 2 years office experience with aptitude for learning new technology.  Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and administration. Exhibit good judgment, mental alertness, tact and courtesy.  Physical condition commensurate with the responsibilities of the position.  Strong computer skills with aptitude for learning new software technology required.  Experience with a variety of computer software applications, preferred.

Digital Media Specialist, Provisional

Job Responsibilities

The position is responsible for creating the digital content that promotes the District brand, including creating and implementing a content plan and the publicly posted content on various digital platforms.   Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Understands the requirements and vision of the District and/or particular team and is able to actualize it in digital form and update consistently;
  • Manages and maintains various digital platforms, including District website and social media as well as all incoming requests and feedback.
  • Monitors discussion posts and/or manages comments from audience on social media and digital platforms;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), social media, and unique needs of the target audiences to create digital content that optimizes SEO and media posts that attracts followers and shares the District’s story;
  • Creates effective, SEO-driven content and visuals in various forms (i.e. video, blog, web, media, newsletters, etc.) to attract and engage audiences;
  • Seeks new ways to repurpose, reuse, and recycle digital content with detailed proofreading and editing skills.
  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets data on assigned projects and makes recommendations to adjust communication strategies to yield optimal outcomes;
  • Ensures integrity and consistency of district communications; and other related activities as assigned.

 

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000/yr, commensurate with experience

District Administrative Support Staff (DASS)

 

Certifications/Qualifications

Graduation from High School or possession of a GED and five (5) years hands-on public relations experience including creating and maintenance of digital content and platforms or Associate’s degree (or higher) in communications, marketing, graphic design or closely related field and three (3) years.  Comprehensive knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), social media, and related data.  Proficient in graphic design and creating/editing digital SEO-driven content. Ability to communicate and influence through story-telling to engage people and motivate outcomes.  Proficient project management skills that marshal resources for organization, efficiency, and accountability with ability to handled deadline-driven outcomes.  Ability to research, analyze, and interpret user data to create optimal digital content.  Establish and maintain good working relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and administration. Exhibit good judgment, mental alertness, tact and courtesy.
