Job Responsibilities

This position provides support to students and staff by serving in various roles, both within and outside the classroom.  Much of the duty time involves interaction with classroom teachers and students and may include such activities as supervising recreation time or cafeteria time, escorting students to unified arts classes and helping children with routine tasks (i.e.: collecting student work, copying materials for distribution, guiding student work in small groups).  The actual duties are determined by the teachers to whom the aide is responsible and may vary throughout the school year.

 

Compensation & Benefits

Step 1 ($21.15/hr) – Step 5 ($23.83/hr)

Job Responsibilities

This individual will be responsible for assisting students in a structured study hall.  Working in a small group setting, the individual will follow a structured plan for the students provided by the teacher.  Responsibilities include monitoring student’s behavior, providing positive feedback, keeping students on task and redirecting students as necessary.  This individual may be assigned other responsibilities in the classroom. 

 

Compensation & Benefits

Step 1 ($22.14/hr) – Step 5 ($24.82/hr)

This position supports the school counselor and students by serving in various roles, which may include assistance with the backpack program, holiday help programs, lunch groups, awards and assemblies, and student and family support to ensure timeliness and positive attendance, along with other responsibilities as needed. The actual duties are determined by the school counselor in collaboration with the building principal and may vary throughout the school year.
