Shenendehowa Central School District is seeking a culturally proficient part-time art teacher for an anticipated position beginning in the 2026–2027 school year. The District is seeking culturally proficient individuals who actively foster an engaging environment where students can develop confidence in their own success, consistent with the Shenendehowa Profiles.
Compensation & Benefits
Step 1 - $45,406/yr (min)
STA Collective Bargaining Agreement
Certifications/Qualifications
- Valid New York State certification in Visual Arts (K-12).
- Experience teaching at the elementary level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills, with the ability to engage
students. - Ability to integrate technology into art instruction
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement curriculum-aligned lesson plans that promote artistic skills, creativity,
and art appreciation. - Foster an engaging and supportive environment that encourages student exploration, experimentation, and artistic growth.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and differentiated instruction
as needed. - Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to enhance art learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student success
- Maintain a safe and organized art studio.
