Applications are now being accepted for a probationary position that will commence in the 2026 – 2027 school year. The District is seeking culturally proficient individuals who actively foster an engaging environment where students can develop confidence in their own success consistent with the Shenendehowa Profiles.
Compensation & Benefits
Step 1 – $56,758/yr (min)

Certifications/Qualifications
- NYS Music Education (K–12) certification
- Experience teaching general music across elementary, middle, and high school levels.
- Experience providing adaptive music instruction for students with diverse learning needs.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in integrating technology into music instruction.
- Ability to play piano and other musical instruments in support of instruction and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver curriculum-aligned general music instruction for kindergarten through high school students.
- Provide adaptive music instruction to meet the needs of students in special education settings.
- Create an engaging, inclusive learning environment that supports creativity, skill development, and appreciation for music.
- Differentiate instruction and monitor student progress to support growth and participation.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology to enhance learning.
- Organize and support concerts, performances, and other music-related activities.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the overall music program.
