Certifications/Qualifications
- Valid New York State Teacher Certification in Business Education.
- Experience teaching business courses at the secondary level is preferred.
- Additional WBL extension is beneficial but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Those with industry experience who qualify for NYS teacher certification can be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with NYS Business Education standards.
- Ability to engage students in discussing real-world business-based experiences.
- Teach a variety of business subjects, such as Accounting, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Personal Finance, and Business Law.
- Integrate technology and real-world applications into instruction.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Encourage student participation in business-related extracurricular activities, including DECA and FBLA.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and professional growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success.
