District Office

Job Responsibilities

The Executive Assistant to the Chief Human Resources Officer provides high-level, confidential, and strategic administrative support to the CHRO and the Assistant Director of Human Resources. This position requires exceptional judgment, initiative, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The Executive Assistant plays a key role in supporting general HR operations while also improving systems, streamlining processes, and ensuring compliance with required trainings and procedures. serves as a critical partner in managing sensitive personnel matters, recruitment coordination, and department-wide initiatives. 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Provide high-level support to the CHRO and Assistant Director of HR, including complex calendar management, scheduling, meeting coordination, and preparation of confidential materials.
  • Draft, edit, and format sensitive correspondence, reports, and presentations for the Board of Education, district leadership, and staff.
  • Support day-to-day HR operations, including ordering supplies, managing vendor requests,
  • Maintain and manage HR data, records, and tracking systems to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance.
  • Manage confidential information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism.
  • Coordinate job postings, recruitment timelines, employee orientation, recognition programs, onboarding, and offboarding in collaboration with HR Specialists.
  • Assist with creative recruitment initiatives, including job fairs, outreach efforts, and recruitment events.
  • Maintain complex personnel files, job descriptions, and tracking systems to ensure accuracy and legal compliance.
  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and documentation of employee recognition programs, including the District’s 25-Year Club and Tenure Reception.
  • Act as a liaison between HR leadership and other departments, administrators, legal counsel, and external partners as directed.
  • Develop and maintain internal documentation templates and identify ways to streamline HR workflows, and standardize procedures.
  • Coordinate mandated annual training requirements, certifications, and workplace violence response protocols.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

 

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000/yr, commensurate with experience

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field and five (5) years of experience providing executive-level administrative support and managing confidential matters.   Bachelor’s degree and two (2) experience in human resources, education, or a public-sector environment, preferred.
