Job Responsibilities
Performs the preparation and cooking of food consistent with established food safety and sanitation procedures. Provides assistance with the service of food, proper food storage, and cleaning of all kitchen supplies and equipment. Completes other related work as required. This person should possess excellent people skills.
Compensation & Benefits
Step 1 ($17.21hr) – Step 5 ($18.97/hr)

Certifications/Qualifications
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma (GED) and two (2) years of cooking experience in commercial setting OR graduation from a NYS registered or regionally accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree with specialization in, Foods, Nutrition, and/or Hotel or Restaurant Management.
Good working knowledge of proper methods for preparing food in large quantities and the care and cleaning of kitchen supplies and equipment. Ability to understand and carry out both verbal and written directions. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and administration. Exhibit thoroughness, good judgment, mental alertness, tact and courtesy. Physical condition commensurate with the responsibilities of the position.
