Certifications/Qualifications
- Valid New York State (NYS) Childhood Education (1-6)
- Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Focus on targeted reading, writing, and language instruction
- Collaborate with colleagues and academic leaders to develop a comprehensive, inquiry-based STEAM curriculum
- Integrate instructional practices that develop students' intellectual and social-emotional capacities.
- Cultivate a classroom environment where students learn to approach complex tasks with curiosity, collaboration, and resilience.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and leadership to consider accelerated pathways and enrichment opportunities for students in Grades 4-5.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and differentiated instruction as needed.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
