Shenendehowa Central School District is committed to fostering instructional excellence and innovation. The Instructional Coach – Innovation & Technology Integration supports K–12 educators in transforming teaching and learning through the strategic use of instructional technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), Google Workspace for Education, and other district-approved digital tools. This includes a wide range of "department-agnostic" educational technology platforms that enhance instruction across content areas. The coach partners with teachers and administrators to build staff capacity, elevate student engagement, and advance district learning goals through the effective integration of both emerging and established technologies.
Qualifications Required:
- NYS Teaching Certification
- Minimum of three years of successful K-12 teaching experience
- Experience in facilitating professional learning and instructional coaching
- Expertise in instructional technology, including AI tools and Google Workspace products
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
- All certification areas accepted; secondary teaching experience preferred

General Responsibilities:
The Instructional Coach will work under the supervision of the Director of Professional Learning and in conjunction with principals, academic administrators, and other district-level leaders.
Over the course of the school year, the Instructional Coach will:
- Partner with teachers, students, and administrators to implement district goals and research-based instructional practices using district-approved software.
- Facilitate the integration of technology into teaching and learning by working closely with educators, students, and administrative staff.
- Co-plan and co-teach technology-enhanced lessons that promote student engagement and instructional effectiveness.
- Contribute to the district mentor program and assist in the onboarding of new teachers to foster a smooth transition and early success.
- Coordinate and help shape professional learning initiatives from a district-wide perspective, aligning with instructional priorities.
- Respond to evolving instructional needs by assisting with initiatives and challenges as they arise in the teaching and learning environment.
- Play an active role in identifying, procuring, integrating, and providing training on software adopted by the district.
- Collaborate with district instructional coaches and administrators to design, deliver, and refine professional development offerings and to disseminate best practices across K–12 classrooms.
- Adapt responsively to shifting instructional priorities, demonstrating flexibility and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Participate in and contribute to district committees such as the District Instructional Technology Integration Committee (DITIC), the Professional Learning Committee, and the AI Ad Hoc Committee.
- Communicate timely updates to staff about instructional technology platforms and system-wide changes to ensure smooth and consistent implementation.
Location/Schedule:
- Full-time, 10-month position with paid summer workdays
- Flexibility is required for before/after-school PD and committee responsibilities
