Shenendehowa Central School District has an anticipated vacancy and is now accepting applications. Job Responsibilities
The position provides clerical support to the library at the elementary level and may include:
- Providing help to and supervision of students using the library;
- Digital cataloging, scanning, tracking and recordkeeping of incoming and outgoing books and materials;
- Preparing requisitions and purchase orders, pocketing and shelving of books and materials;
- Tracking overdue items, printing overdue materials list, sending notices to students, faculty, and staff;
- Preparing correspondence and announcements;
- Facilitating school book exchange with staff and students;
- Processing requests and requesting materials from other libraries, in-district and out of district;
- Collecting class project materials; and additional responsibilities as required.
Compensation & Benefits
Step 1 ($21.00/hr) - Step 7 ($27.30/hr)

Certifications/Qualifications
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma (GED) and 2 years office experience with aptitude for learning new technology. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and administration. Exhibit good judgment, mental alertness, tact and courtesy. Physical condition commensurate with the responsibilities of the position. Strong computer skills with aptitude for learning new software technology required. Experience with a variety of computer software applications, preferred.
