Job Responsibilities
Special education teacher aide responsibilities will include assisting students with social/emotional and learning difficulties in all school settings. Under the direction of the case manager, the aide will support students in developing independent academic and social skills. The aide will assist in carrying out modifications and accommodations including collecting data, behavior plans, supervision, modeling appropriate social skills, assisting with classroom work, facilitating social interaction, and providing testing accommodations. Preferred experience working with students with developmental disabilities. Personal care duties may be required.
Compensation & Benefits
Step 1 ($20.72/hr) – Step 5 ($23.23/hr)

Certifications/Qualifications
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma (GED) and experience with youth desirable. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and administration. Exhibit good judgement, mental alertness, tact and courtesy. Physical condition commensurate with the responsibilities of the position.
