Technology Aide

High School East

3 hrs/day, 10 mos/year

Job Responsibilities

This position provides support to students including but not limited to, hands-on technical assistance in the manufacturing and construction classrooms.  Under the direction of the teacher, the aide will support students during classroom projects and activities, assist in supervising and maintaining a safe working environment, modeling appropriate skills and use of technology equipment, and assisting with classroom work.  The actual duties are determined by the teachers to whom the aide is responsible and may vary throughout the school year.  Preferred work experience with manufacturing and/or home construction.

 

 

Compensation & Benefits

Step 1 ($20.72/hr) – Step 5 ($23.23/hr)

CSEA Collective Bargaining Agreement

 

Certifications/Qualifications

Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma (GED) and experience with manufacturing or construction fields preferred.  Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and administration. Exhibit good judgment, mental alertness, tact and courtesy.  Physical condition commensurate with the responsibilities of the position.
